- Description
- ArchiveGrid is the redesigned version of
Archival Resources.
ArchiveGrid provides centralized access for searching and retrieval of archival finding
aids in dispersed collections and also provides access to the comprehensive collection
descriptions
written by archivists. Finding aids are tools for navigation within archival collections,
and
contain detailed information about the collections. The bibliographic record can be used as a
link
to an electronic finding aid and the finding aid can also serve as a link to actual
archival
materials that have been digitized. Over 2,500 libraries, museums, and archives worldwide
have contributed nearly a million record descriptions
to ArchiveGrid.
