- Description
- Resources for College Libraries (RCL) serves as a basis for undergraduate
curriculum development, student research, reference, bibliographic instruction, and
collection development. The result of a unique collaboration between Choice, a
publishing division of ACRL, and bibliographic authority Bowker, it also serves as core list
of book collections recommended for academic libraries. RCL covers 58 curriculum-
specific subject areas and includes reviews that have appeared in Choice magazine.
The database is searchable by RCL subject, LC Classification Range, Dewey # Range,
Audience, Format, Awards, and date added to the database.
RCL is the successor to the print edition of Books for College Libraries,
last published in 1988.
