Description: ReferenceUSA offers several searchable database modules containing detailed information on more than 14 million U.S. businesses and employers; 89 million U.S. residents; 855,000 U.S. health care providers; 1.5 million Canadian businesses; and 12 million Canadian residents. Two other modules cover 50,000 new companies in the U.S. and over 300,000 U.S. new movers and homeowners each week.

Sources: Telephone directory (white and yellow pages) listings, postal service Change of Address updates, industry and specialty directories, corporate annual reports, and business publications.

Type of coverage: All directory listings include names, addresses, telephone numbers, and an external link to a local map. Displays of U.S. residential listings include the median household income and home value for the community, based on information from the latest Census. Displays of company listings include internal links to subsidiary and parent companies, where applicable, as well as lines of business, senior executives and their titles, and an external link to Google News for recent articles on the firm. Where available, displays of health care providers include the hospital affiliation and the number of patients seen per week.
