- Ulrich's Periodicals Directory provides access to
detailed, comprehensive, and authoritative information on all types of periodicals, including
academic journals, consumer magazines, trade publications, newsletters, newspapers,
electronic publications, conference proceedings, e-zines, and other serials. Ulrichsweb
also
includes selected periodical reviews from Library Journal and Magazines for
Libraries.

- Ulrich's Periodicals Directory is international and multilingual in scope.
Publications from 242 countries are represented in Ulrich's. Information is
collected from publishers of serials and through the research of Ulrich's editorial department.
- Type of coverage
- Contains information on active periodicals, as well as information about cessations
and title changes. Includes irregular serials and annuals. Administrative publications
of governmental agencies below state level are excluded.
Citations include ISSN, title, publishing body, country of origin, status (active or ceased),
start year, frequency, document type, media, language, price, and other information fields.
Refereed serials are indicated. Information about additional editions and formats is
available where applicable. Publisher, ordering, and
advertising information isincluded and selective access to reviews from library
trade journals is provided.
For journals that are listed in the Journal Citation Reports, published by ISI, a link
will be provided to the JCR listing for the journal. These connections are intended to
facilitate the assessment of the importance of a journal in its field.
