EndNote is a program that helps users quickly collect and organize references from online sources (or elsewhere), create a searchable personal database, find and cite these references while writing, create bibliographies formatted in their style of choice, and manage PDF files. For this fiscal year, the Libraries are licensed to provide EndNote only for students, faculty, and staff of the RBHS schools.
EndNote Basic is a web-based version of EndNote designed to work in the cloud. Users who work from multiple computers, or need to work collaboratively may find EndNote Basic very useful. EndNote and EndNote Basic are designed to work in concert although each can be used independently. By using EndNote Basic users can sync their libraries with the desktop version of EndNote providing a secure back up and the ability to work on projects from any computer with an Internet connection. Users of EndNote Basic can also share their libraries with colleagues or fellow students, very useful when collaborating on projects or articles. An EndNote Basic account can be created from within EndNote, or you can go to MyEndNoteWeb.com to set up a free account using your university email address.
