Rutgers NetID Users Accessing Rutgers-Licensed E-Resources

You will still use your Rutgers NetID username and password to log in for remote access. Your NetID is the same username and password you use for your email. When you log in remotely, you will have access to all Rutgers-licensed e-resources as well as Smith and RWJ Libraries-licensed content. The only exception is EndNote. The Libraries are licensed to provide remote download access to EndNote for students, faculty, and staff of the RBHS schools.

NOTE: Users from the following schools may download EndNote onsite only.

  • School of Pharmacy
  • College of Nursing
  • Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine
  • Institute for Health
  • Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI)

To download EndNote to your home computer, you may save the zipped EndNote file onsite to a flash drive and then bring it back to install it onto your home computer. If you are a distance learner from the above listed schools/institutions and would like to download EndNote, please contact Stephen Modica, modicasf@ca.rutgers.edu (973-972-4358) in Newark, or Yingting Zhang, yzhang@ca.rutgers.edu (732-235-7604) in New Brunswick.

Volunteer Faculty Members:

University Libraries discontinued use of last name and last 4 digits of G# as user ID and password on July 1st, 2013. Voluntary faculty need to obtain a library barcode and PIN to log in from off-campus. Contact Kerry O’Rourke (RWJ-based voluntary faculty) at 732-235-7606 or Roberta Bronson Fitzpatrick (Newark-based voluntary faculty) at 973/972-5498 for more information.

Joint Rutgers/UMDNJ Program Members:

As a member of a joint program, you are eligible to access all Rutgers-licensed electronic journals and online databases. For off-campus access, you should use your NetID authentication method if you have one. If you do not have a NetID, you need to obtain a library barcode and PIN to log in from off-campus. Contact Yini Zhu at 973/972-9551 for more information.

All Other Former UMDNJ Users:

You may log in to remote access using your CORE Account or NetID. Your CORE Account becomes a NetID account on July 1, 2013. Your login credentials should remain the same.
