JAMAevidence is a platform designed to help clinicians make evidence-based healthcare decisions. It contains textbooks, tools, and forms useful to the critical appraisal process.  Textbooks contained in JAMAevidence are: 

  • Users’ Guides to the Medical Literature: A Manual for Evidence-Based Clinical Practice
  • The Rational Clinical Examination: Evidence-Based Clinical Diagnosis
  • JAMA Guide to Statistics and Methods
  • Care at the Close of Life: Evidence and Experience

Tools include Education Guides, which are a library of PowerPoint slides useful in providing instruction on evidence-based medicine concepts; a glossary of over 900 EBM terms; calculators; and two types of worksheets, one for critical appraisal and one for charting an information cycle. Users may set up personal accounts in order to take self-assessment quizzes and have easy access to their most recent saved content.

All content on JAMAedvidence is published by the American Medical Association, and the platform is regularly updated with the latest clinical information.
