Description

Full-text versions of five major family letter collections from the late medieval England period, including the Paston Family Papers. The period covered (1400-1490) includes the Wars of the Roses; and regions covered include East Anglia, Oxfordshire, Yorkshire and Warwickshire.

The full-text transcriptions are searchable and can be displayed alongside the color images of the original manuscripts. Also included are a variety of "further resources," including family trees, an interactive map and visual sources. The visual content illustrates everyday life in the medieval period.
