Yu-Hung Lin, metadata librarian for continuing resources, scholarship, and data

The Libraries are pleased to welcome Yu-Hung Lin, the new metadata librarian for continuing resources, scholarship and data on the New Brunswick campuses.

In this role, Yu-Hung serves as the head of the unit that oversees and plans for access for users to print and electronic journals, scholarly papers and presentations, and research data in the library’s catalog and the Libraries’ RUcore repository. He will work with library liaison faculty, academic faculty, and others to support new modes of scholarly communication, education, and research at Rutgers University. He will develop metadata application profiles and methodologies to integrate continuing resources (e.g., journals, newspapers, yearbooks) into RUcore.

Yu-Hung comes to the Rutgers University Libraries from the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences Libraries, where he was the digital services managing librarian.  Before that, he was emerging technologies librarian at St. Thomas Aquinas College in New York. Earlier he served as library operations director at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he was instrumental in getting online information resources, including an electronic newsclip service, to the hastily relocated bank staff so that critical reports could be produced in the days following September 11.

Yu-Hung can be reached at liny4@rulmail.rutgers.edu or 848-445-5961. His office is located in the Libraries Technical Services Building, on the Busch campus.
