Major renovation underway on the 2nd floor of Robeson Library
In a few months time, the Paul Robeson Library's second floor will look a whole lot different. And it will offer users a lot more compelling features.
The library is undertaking a major renovation of the second floor, to provide users with spaces better suited to their study habits and needs. When the renovation is complete the second floor will include:
- a dedicated 'quiet study' space,
- fourteen (14) new group study rooms,
- more electrical outlets and enhanced WiFi connectivity,
- new office suites for the librarians, allowing for more comfortable research consultations with library users.
Each group study room will be equipped with videotaping capabilities and the option of storing the videos on campus servers. The rooms will have seating for six (6) people and a few will offer seating for eight (8) or ten (10). The rooms will be available for advance reservations, through the online campus calendar.
With this renovation of the second floor, all public areas of the Robeson Library will have been renovated within the past two years.
The Robeson Library hopes to complete the renovation by the start of the spring 2014 semester.
We apologize to our users for any inconvenience this renovation projects causes them. But trust us, it'll be worth it.
