To find a journal, magazine, or newspaper article in the most popular databases in your subject area, enter your search term(s) and choose a subject from the pull-down menu. To find books and more in the Library Catalog, enter your term(s) and select a search type in the pull-down menu. For more information see "How Do I Find a Book?"

To find a print or electronic journal in the Rutgers collections, enter its title or keywords in the title and select the appropriate search type in the pull-down menu. For more information, see "How Do I Find a Journal?"

To find audio or video material in the Rutgers collections, enter one or more keywords and select the appropriate search type in the pull-down menu. For more information, see "How do I find audio or video materials?"

To find a list of books, textbooks, and electronic articles placed on course reserve by your instructor, enter your instructor's last name and search. You can also use the pull-down menu to search by course title or number.

More laptops for loan coming to the Libraries

One popular service offering in the Libraries on the New Brunswick/Piscataway campuses are the laptops available for loan. In response to strong student interest in this service, the Libraries are expanding the number of laptops available and the locations where they may be borrowed.

Alexander Library

  • had 10 Netbooks available for loan
  • now adding 10 new laptops

Art Library

  • had 5 Netbooks available for loan
  • now adding 5 new laptops

Douglass Library

  • previously did not offer this service
  • now adding 5 laptops, available for loan

Library of Science and Medicine

  • previously did not offer this service
  • now adding 5 laptops, available for loan

Kilmer Library

  • had 5 Netbooks and 5 laptops available for loan
  • now adding 5 new laptops

Science and Engineering Resource Center library

  • previously did not offer this service
  • now adding 5 laptops, available for loan

All new laptops should be delivered to the libraries by September 30th.

Laptop loans are only available to currently enrolled Rutgers students. Students must present a valid Rutgers ID to borrow a laptop. Laptops can be borrowed on a first come, first served basis, must be used in the library, and reservations are not offered.
