Special Collections' New Jersey Room, in Alexander Library, closed July 22nd - August 26th

July 15, 2013

To allow the Libraries to implement a renovation of the area, the New Jersey Room of Special Collections and University Archives, located on the lower level of Alexander Library, will be closed from Monday July 22nd until Monday, August 26th.

Materials located in the New Jersey Room, such as the Sinclair New Jersey book and periodical collection, New Jersey maps, the X-Reference collection, Daughters of the American Revolution collection, and some genealogy materials, will not be accessible to patrons during this time. Patrons will be able to access most rare books, manuscripts, and university archives material in a temporary reading room during this period, except for July 26th and July 29th when the unit will be completely closed.

Access will be by appointment only. Please contact Albert C. King at acking@rulmail.rutgers.edu or Erika B. Gorder at gorder@rulmail.rutgers.edu to schedule an appointment.

We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to serving our users in the newly renovated New Jersey Room.
