We're Updating Our Hours Website and Preparing for the Change to Kilmer Library

May 22, 2017

With the spring semester behind us and the summer sessions about to start, we are taking care of a few logistical and website tasks that you may notice in the coming weeks.

  1. The transition from the Kilmer Library to the Carr Library is now underway. We expect our new signage next month, but we’re prepping behind the scenes by changing location codes in our databases and library loan programs. While we are in the midst of the transition, you may run across Kilmer or Carr used interchangeably on our website and catalog. We beg your patience and if you have a question about where an item is located, please feel free to reach out to Ask a Librarian via our website for assistance. We anticipate having these changes complete by the end of June.
  2. We’re improving the way our hours are displayed on our website. The new display is much simpler – it shows you the building hours for the day at any Rutgers University library. If you need specific information about reference desk hours or a future date, there are drop down menus to guide you to this information, too. With quick jump links to reserving group study rooms, computer lab usage information, maps & directions, and the events calendar, our new hours page will be a great resource for anyone heading out to the library. Look for the new hours display to go live on May 24.
