The Alumni Library Card

Apply for an alumni library card at the circulation desk of any Rutgers library. You will need to bring a Rutgers Alumni ID card for identification.

Library staff will issue you a library card, barcode, and PIN. You can use the library card to check out up to twenty-five books for a four-week loan period from any Rutgers University library (except for the law libraries in Camden and Newark). Use your barcode and PIN to access the "MY ACCOUNT" features in IRIS, where you can view a list of the books you have checked out and renew your books yourself online.

Alumni library cards are good for one year and need to be renewed annually.
