Changing Your Proxy Server Setting in Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer 4x:

  1. From the "View" menu, select "Options".
  2. Click the "Connections" tab.
  3. Under the header of "Proxy Server," uncheck "Connect through a Proxy Server ."
  4. Click " OK" twice to save your preferences.

Internet Explorer 5x and 6:

If you are using a PC through a dial-in connection:

  1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options.".
  1. Click the Connections tab.
  1. Click on your ISP in the "Dial Up Settings" list.
  1. Click on the "Settings" button.
  1. Uncheck "Use a proxy server."
  1. Click "OK" twice to save your preferences.

If you are using a PC through a broad band connection:

  1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options".
  1. Click the "Connections" tab.
  1. Under "Local Area Network Settings," select "LAN Settings".
  1. Under the header of "Proxy Server," uncheck "Use a Proxy Server ."
  1. Click " OK" twice to save your preferences.
