6:00 p.m Ms. Stevens is a pioneering feminist artist, known for her large scale paintings and smaller scale works on paper. Ms. Stevens's work is held in many esteemed private and public collections, and she has had numerous one person shows, including a recent exhibition at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

The Douglass Library will host an exhibition of documentary photographs, by Southern Methodist University Distinguished Professor Alessandra Comini, on the development of the American Women's Movement in Art. Speaking in a panel discussion at the exhibition opening will be Dr. Comini, American University Professor Mary Garrard, and artist and University of California, San Diego Professor Emeritus Faith Ringgold.
Co-Sponsors include: Exhibition will run September 12 - October 15, 2006. |

This exhibition is in collaboration with a four-dance performance by the American Repertory Ballet of Winter Repertory and Dancing Through the Ceiling held on Friday, February 24, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in Trayes Hall of the Douglass Student Center. The Spring 2006 exhibition of the Mary H. Dana Women Artists Series features the dance photography of Erin Baiano. Ms. Baiano is a former dancer with the corps of the American Ballet Theatre and is currently is a dance photographer for The New York Times. Her sensitive and beautiful photographs capture the essence of dance. |
