How Do I...
...change my e-mail address with the Libraries?
  1. Go to the Rutgers Online Directory, which is the source of address information in your library record.
  1. Enter and search for your name; verify your email address on your "Person Display Screen."
  1. To make changes, click on "Changes and Corrections" on the opening search screen and select the appropriate student or employee online form. If you are a teaching, graduate, or research assistant, update your student form; the Libraries get email addresses from your student record only.
  1. Enter your NetID, the username and password associated with your Rutgers email account. If you need assistance, contact Computing Services HELP on your campus.
  1. Please enter the entire e-mail address that you wish to be on record, including the host name (e.g. andromeda.rutgers.edu, rci.rutgers.edu, aol.com). E-mail addresses from commercial providers are acceptable.

Updates to the Rutgers Online directory are usually posted to library records within two weeks.
  1. If you are a Guest borrower, you may change your email address with the Libraries by visiting or calling the Circulation Desk of any Rutgers library, or by writing to Ask a Librarian.
  1. If you are a Rutgers students and would like to change your email address during a session when you're not enrolled for classes (fall, spring, or summer), you must change your address in the Rutgers Online Directory and with the Libraries by visiting or calling the Circulation Desk of any Rutgers library, or by writing to Ask a Librarian.
