How Do I...
...connect with wireless?

What?
RUWireless is offered by Central Systems and Services at many locations throughout the University, including most of the libraries. This is not a service of the Rutgers University Libraries.

Who?
Any Rutgers University student, staff or faculty member with a valid NetID (Clam, Crab, Eden, RCI, Pegasus, or Andromeda username) can log into RUWireless with that username and password.

How?
The RUWireless (http://ruwireless.rutgers.edu) site provides: coverage area maps; instructions on configuring various types of devices; printing instructions; policies and guidelines; and Frequently Asked Questions.

Where?
See the RUWireless site for coverage area maps. Availability at a given location may depend up local usage and wireless 'shadows' caused by building density (or metal shelving).

Reporting Problems
Visit the Libraries' Wireless Connectivity Issue Reporting form. This form should be used to report any of the following inside the libraries:

  • Trouble locating RUWireless or RUWireless_Secure hotspot
  • Slow wireless connections
  • Logging in or authenticating issues
  • Losing wireless connection or signal

Submitted reports help the Libraries and the Rutgers Office of Information Technology to troubleshoot and expand wireless coverage.
