How Do I...
...renew my checkouts?

Rutgers Materials

You may renew most items yourself using the "Renew Checkouts" feature in MY ACCOUNT. Materials that cannot be renewed include items that have been recalled by another borrower, reserve materials, and items for which the renewal limit has been reached. Video and audio items are not eligible for renewal.

  1. Go to the Library Catalog, select "MY ACCOUNT," and click on the "Renew Checkouts" option.
  1. Enter your NetID or, if you do not have a Rutgers NetID enter your barcode and library PIN, then click on the "List Charged Items" button.
  1. Select the items you wish to renew by clicking in the boxes to left of each title. To renew all the items you have checked out, click on the radio button next to "Renew All" at the top of the list.
  1. Click on "Renew Selected Items." You will be presented with a list of renewed items and their new due dates.
  1. Click "OK" or "EXIT Library Catalog" to logout.

To protect the security of your login information, close the BROWSER after you have checked your record on any public computer.

Interlibrary Loan and E-ZBorrow Materials

You can renew most interlibrary loan and E-ZBorrow books for one additional 28-day loan period. Please note that the 28-day renewal takes effect on the day you renew; 28 days are not added to your original due date unless you renew on that date.

You cannot renew interlibrary and E-ZBorrow materials that are designated "no renewal," that have been recalled by the lending institution, or that have reached the renewal limit. Special borrowing restrictions and conditions are noted on each item's book band.

  1. Go to the Library Catalog, select "MY ACCOUNT," and click on the "Renew Checkouts" option.
