Description   AccessUN provides indexing for United Nations documents and publications as far back as 1966, with links to some full text documents. Issues addressed include peace and security, world hunger, human rights, economic development, the environment, and atomic energy. The database benefits researchers who need information on international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian nature.

Documents from the six main bodies of the United Nations -- General Assembly; Security Council; Economic and Social Council; Trusteeship Council; Secretariat; and International Court of Justice -- are indexed. Masthead or series symbol documents (formerly referred to as mimeographed documents); Official Records; sales publications; limited and restricted documents; and documents emanating from sessional and standing committees, functional commissions, conferences, and regional bodies are included. Articles appearing in UN periodicals are individually indexed, and the bilateral and multilateral treaties in the UN Treaty Series are also included.

Full-text resolutions from the General Assembly; Security Council; and the Economic and Social Council are appended to their respective bibliographic citations.

A reasonably comprehensive collection of UN documents and publications in print and microformat extending back to 1945, plus indexing for UN materials prior to 1966, is available at the Alexander Library.
