The Contemporary Women's Issues database provides full-text access to global information on women in over 190
countries, bringing together relevant content from mainstream periodicals, "gray" literature, and the alternative
press. It includes publications in journals; newsletters; and research reports from non-profit groups, government,
and international agencies. Topics include human rights; violence and exploitation; education; workplace; family
life; legal status; health; reproductive rights; gender equity; and lesbian concerns, among others.
Searching of full text is available using keywords, word phrases, and author names. The database features Boolean
and proximity operator searching, as well as search limitation by date, subject area, geographical region, article
