Description
|
|
The Encyclopedia of Life Sciences provides access to more than 4,000 articles related to the
Life Sciences. The authors are specialists in their fields and submit their articles to an
editorial review board in each major subject area. Written for a very broad life sciences
audience, the articles are coded for the level of readership from non-technical to researcher.
The authors update their articles periodically. ELS also includes 30 Keynote Articles that
present controversial issues or ideas of current interest.
To browse the available list of articles, users may select from an alphabetical list of article
titles or a hierarchical list of topics. Traditional keyword/author/title and Boolean searching
are available. In addition to the title, all article entries include the level of readership,
the authors' names and the date of submission. Users may display abstracts as well as fulltext
and pdf versions of the article. By creating an account on My Profile, users may save searching
histories as well as articles for later review.
