Description
|
|
The New Catholic Encyclopedia is the second edition of a standard reference work that
includes articles on persons and subjects related to Catholicism and the humanities.
Among the 12,000 entries are articles on theology, philosophy, history, literary figures,
saints, musicians, and much more. Topics such as abortion, divorce, cloning, witchcraft,
tolerance, and reproductive technologies are also included.
In addition to the hundreds of new, signed articles on a wide variety of topics, this
edition also features biographies of contemporary religious figures, thousands of photos,
maps, and illustrations, and completely updated bibliographical citations. It
incorporates content from the five supplementary volumes to the first edition of the New
Catholic Encyclopedia, and also features revised and new articles to bring the entire
encyclopedia up to date.
