The database contains citations and abstracts (when available)
to journal articles, monographs, technical reports, meeting abstracts and papers, book chapters, government documents,
and newspaper articles from 1966 to the present. In 2001, Ovid Healthstar also added selective coverage of evaluation
studies, newspaper articles, and validation studies.
Citations are indexed with the National Library of Medicine's Medical Subject Headings in order to ensure compatibility
with other NLM databases.
Ovid Healthstar incorporates a small proportion of full-text material.
