| Description |

The PBS VIDEO index® Online is an index to the PBS catalog of VHS format videotapes. The
videos in the catalog represent award-winning documentaries by film makers about historical,
cultural, and scientific topics around the globe. Most of these titles in this series are owned
by Rutgers University Libraries.
Many video segments are linked to curriculum resources including primary source documents, maps,
graphs, timelines, and illustrations. The subscription version of the database also includes a
Curriculum Standards Correlator, which lets users correlate the videos and resources in the PBS
VIDEOindex to state and national curriculum standards and provides sample lesson plans.
