Access to Services Find about how to get the proper accounts to use library restricted resources and services. See: Faculty Access to Services Chat Reference Service When classes are in session, the Libraries offer an online chat reference service Mondays through Thursdays 10 a.m.-Noon, 2-6 p.m., and 7-10 p.m; Sundays 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. During the hours the service is available, the chat box appears on the frontpage of the Libraries' website, at the top of the page. Users can type in any question and chat with a Rutgers librarian on call that day. All inquiries are anonymous. Clips from Analog Tapes or DVDs

E-ssentials is a concise twice-a-semester Libraries' publication for Rutgers faculty and
teaching assistants. It is an opt-in newsletter, distributed by email, that provides brief
news about new library resources, helpful research tips, worthwhile events, and other
developments of interest.
Imaging Services Self-service photocopy machines and networked printing are available in the large libraries located on Rutgers' Busch, Camden, College Ave., Cook, Douglass, Newark, and Livingston campuses. Media Booking and Reserves Book media for preview and classroom use with a Media Materials - Booking Form.
Arrangements for placing media on reserve materials on the New Brunswick and Piscataway campuses will be handled by the Media Center located in the Douglass Library, using this
form. The main viewing location is the Media Center on Douglass; there are smaller viewing facilities (20 students maximum) in Alexander Library and Kilmer Library.

As soon as you activate your unique Rutgers identifier, the NetID, use it to login to the Libraries website from off-campus to begin using electronic resources and services. As soon as you've obtained your RUconnection photo ID card, register your barcode, the 14-digit number beginning '29030' on the back of your card, to activate borrowing privileges. You can register your barcode by visiting or phoning the Circulation Desk of any Rutgers library, or by submitting a "Registering with the Rutgers Libraries" form online. Reserves Place materials on reserve for a course by filling out a Reserve Request Form (instructors only). Rutgers University faculties are invited to deposit the results of their research and professional activity. Your deposits will be preserved and made permanently available in RUcore. Articles resulting from NIH funding can be placed jointly in PubMed Central and RUcore easily via the RUL/NIH Submission Service. Rutgers Libraries Toolbar The Rutgers Libraries' Toolbar is a free web browser extension that provides a drop-down menu to library resources, embedded library links on certain popular web pages such as Amazon.com, and new functionality to the "right-click menu" of your mouse.
