Media Center:
Collections The Media Center maintains the Libraries' collection of visual resources excepting music, located at the Laurie Music Library. Faculty may book all Rutgers University Libraries titles via the Media Materials - Booking Form . Viewing facilities are provided in the Media Center for individuals and small groups. A media equipped classroom with a large screen video/data projector and which accommodates 60 students is also available. Advance reservations are required. Contact the Instructional Coordinator, Daphne Roberts at 732/445-4980 (X154) or contact the Center by email mediaser@rci.rutgers.edu. The Media Center library collection includes 6,200 videotapes, 250 DVDs, 150 laser discs, 1,100 16mm films. All materials have been selected to meet teaching and resource needs. AcquisitionsNew moving image materials are ordered regularly, and faculty users are invited to make recommendations for purchase by the contacting the Jane Sloan, Media Librarian (jsloan@rci.rutgers.edu). Booking, Circulation, and ViewingAll materials are available for class viewing and must be booked by using the Media Materials - Booking Form. Videos not committed for booking or on reserve circulate to faculty and graduate students for three days. All other users must view materials on-site at the Media Center on the Livingston Campus. Advance reservations for viewing rooms are recommended. Undergraduate students may make reservations no earlier than 24 hours in advance. To make a reservation, call 445-4980 (x155). Reserve VideotapesFaculty may place on reserve videotapes from the collection as well as their own personal copies for use by students in their scheduled classes.
