Chemistry scholars and beginning students may develop a different reaction to their research with the help of the Libraries newest online chemistry resource.
The Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology contains hundreds of full-text articles covering a broad spectrum of topics in chemistry, chemical technology, and allied fields. The Encyclopedia incorporates the 4th edition multi-volume print version containing over 26,000 pages of text. The authors of each article are all specialists in their fields and contribute to the updates as well.
Provision is made for browsing via subject category or article title, and Boolean searches can be run utilizing title words, key words, author names, author affiliations, etc. Extensive data tables, drawings, reaction equations, and bibliographies are displayed, as relevant to the subject coverage of each article. Hot links to related references are also offered, as available.
