New! Dictionnaire de l'Ancienne Langue Française

For French linguists the Libraries new database, Dictionnaire de l'Ancienne Langue Française (IXe - Xve Siècle) de Frédéric Godefroy, is the Louvre of the French language.

The database is a full-text electronic version of Le Dictionnaire de l'Ancienne Langue Française et de tous ses Dialectes du IX au XV Siècle, published between 1880 and 1902, an essential reference for medieval French language and lexicography.

Users can access Dictionnaire de l'Ancienne Langue Française (IXe - Xve Siècle) de Frédéric Godefroy from the front page of the Libraries website, through IRIS or by following the path: Find Artists > Indexes and Databases > Arts and Humanities > Language and Linguistics
