New resource!
Corpus de la Litterature Medievale
(Corpus of Medieval Literature)

A new Libraries' electronic resource brings the riches of French cultural history to the desktops of Rutgers scholars and students in New Jersey.

The Corpus de la Litterature Medievale (Corpus of Medieval Literature) contains more than 800 French literary works, narratives, poems, and plays from the ninth through the sixteenth centuries. The database interface and texts in the Corpus are in French.

The main method of searching the corpus is by browsing through one's choice of four different fields:

  • Author (Auteur)
  • Title of Work (Titres des Oeuvres)
  • Literary Genre (Genres Littéraires)
  • Chronology (Chronologie)

Users can access Corpus of Medieval Literature from the frontpage of the Libraries website, either through by IRIS or by following the path Find Articles > Indexes and Databases > Arts and Humanities > Language and Linguistics.
