RedLightGreen search/citation service ends Nov. 5th

We regret to inform our users that the RedLightGreen service the Libraries have offered since spring 2006 will no longer be available after November 5th.

RedLightGreen searched millions of book records from the Research Libraries Group's (RLG) Union Catalog. RedLightGreen allowed users to create their own words to formulate searches and get results based on how many libraries own the books. The service linked to records of books in IRIS, the Rutgers University Libraries catalog, and created a properly formatted bibliography according to MLA, APA, Chicago, or Turabian rules.

The parent organization that provided RedLightGreen, RLG, has decided to devote their resources to a similar service, WorldCat.org, provided by a partner organization and will no longer support RedLightGreen.

Rutgers University Libraries users of RedLightGreen who saved citations in RedLightGreen are asked to retrieve their citation list from RedLightGreen by November 4th. To do so, users should follow these steps:

We are sorry for any inconvenience this presents to our users.
