Relive a remarkable discussion: See video of Libraries event with Signs editors
The Libraries were proud to hold an event in April 2006 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Signs, an interdisciplinary journal on women's studies, and mark the arrival of the journal at Rutgers. The event featured a panel discussion of distinguished scholars, who served as past and/or present editors of the journal: Catherine Stimpson, Barbara Gelpi, Barbara Laslett, Ruth Ellen Boetcher- Joeres, Carolyn Allen, Kathryn Norberg, and Mary Hawkesworth.
Video of the event are now posted on the Libraries' website and we welcome visitors to view the presentations. To 'go to the videotape,' please see: http://www.libraries.rutgers.edu/rul/events/signs/signs.shtml
The April 2006 panel discussion received the generous support of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Dean for the Humanities, the Department of Women's & Gender Studies, the Institute for Women's Leadership, and the Rutgers University Libraries.
The archives of Signs are housed in the Rutgers Libraries' Special Collections and University Archives.
The panel discussion will be permanently archived in the Libraries' News and Events webpage, under "Permament and Online Exhibits."
