Upgrades and detours in the Libraries, summer 2009
When September arrives, the Rutgers University Libraries in New Brunswick and Piscataway will feature a number of improvements that allow us to better serve users needs, enhance building appearances, and better ensure safety.
Upgrades underway include the installation of new carpet in the Alexander Library and the Kilmer Library, upgrading the fire-safety sprinkler system throughout the Alexander Library, the introduction of a new reference desk in Alexander library, and repair and reinforcement of the front entrance walkway of the Douglass Library.
To accommodate these new features, the following changes in service will be instituted in the Libraries.
Please note that all dates are approximate, based on current work schedules. Closure dates are subject to change or extension as needed.
We are sorry for any inconvenience these anticipated closures present to our users.
