Libraries Media Center moving to Douglass, closed Dec. 21 - Jan 19
The Rutgers University Libraries' Media Center is moving from their current location, on the lower level of the Kilmer Library on the Livingston Campus, to a new location, on the lower level of the Douglass Library on the Douglass Campus, during winter break. To accommodate this move, the Media Center will be closed from December 21 to January 19.
Instructors seeking to book videos for Winter Session are asked to place their requests before December 18, to assure delivery between December 21 to January 19. Videos needed in the early part of the Spring semester are best booked before the December 18 deadline as well.
No one will be able to view videos in the Media Center during this downtime. Users seeking to view videos in the Media Center collections are strongly advised to schedule a time to do so before December 17th.
The Media Center will continue to deliver booked videos to pickup libraries during the period of closing if they have been booked before December 18. In order to accommodate the move of personnel, collections, and equipment, responses to all requests made after December 18 will be delayed.
We appreciate your patience during this transition. We look forward to serving our patrons in a expanded Media Center in the Douglass Library, with state of the art viewing and listening stations. The new Media Center will also incorporate the recorded sound and moving image collections of the Music Library, currently based in the Douglass Library.
