Presentation by RU Seeing Eye Puppy Raising Club at Douglass Library,
Wed. Nov 17th, 3pm
The Rutgers University Libraries and the Rutgers-New Brunswick Office of
Disability Services invite you to a presentation by the Rutgers Seeing
Eye Puppy Raising Club on training service dogs for the blind. The
presentation will take place Wednesday November 17th, starting at 3:00
pm, in the Mabel Smith Douglass Room of the Douglass Library.
At the event a few of the puppy's raisers - who teach the dogs obedience
and house manners, as well as expose the puppy to situations they may
encounter during their working life - will discuss the challenges and
rewards of their service. Some of the seeing eye dogs in training will
also be present and will demonstrate their skills.
The Rutgers Seeing Eye Puppy Raising Club works in conjunction with the
Seeing Eye, Inc. organization of Morristown, NJ. To learn more about the
