Libraries technology leader receives award from nat'l group

The Rutgers University Libraries congratulate Mary Beth Weber, Head of Central Technical Services at the Libraries, who received a Presidential Citation from the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS).

Comprised of nearly 5,000 members from across the United States and 42 countries from around the globe, ALCTS is the premier resource for information specialists in collection development, preservation, and technical services. ALCTS is a division of the American Library Association and serves as a leader in the development of principles, standards, and best practices for creating, collecting, organizing, delivering, and preserving information resources in all forms.

Mary Beth received an ALCTS Presidential Citation in recognition of her outstanding service as the editor of the ALCTS Newsletter Online (ANO) for the past 6 years. Published quarterly, ANO is the official newsletter of ALCTS. The citation was presented at the 2011 American Library Association's Annual Conference, held in June in New Orleans, LA.

Mary Beth Weber, second from right, holds her citation at the ALCTS award ceremony in June in New Orleans.
