Libraries services for new faculty

The University Libraries welcome new faculty members to Rutgers. We look forward to seeing you on campus soon.

Before you arrive on campus, you probably could use some basic information about using library resources so you can prepare for fall classes. Each category below includes links to relevant information.

Access: As soon as you activate your Rutgers NetID, use it to login in to the Libraries website (www.libraries.rutgers.edu) to begin using electronic resources and services.

Subject Specialists: Identify the librarian in your field who will engage with your teaching, research, and service needs.

Library Research Guides: Click on guides to help you navigate resources and services.

Reserve Services: Place items on reserve in print or digital form for your students.

Libraries Catalog: Locate and retrieve print, media, digital and other materials.

Search Indexes and Databases, Electronic Journals, and EBooks: Find journal articles and other resources through licensed databases.

Rutgers University Libraries Toolbar: Download web browser extension for quick links to library services.

Faculty Services: Identify specialized services available to Rutgers University faculty.

E-ssentials: E-ssentials is a concise twice-a-semester Libraries' publication for Rutgers faculty and teaching assistants.
