Bookmark-making, origami, story-telling, a prize wheel, & more! Libraries activities @ Rutgers Day 2012
The Rutgers University Libraries have organized a bunch of family-friendly activities for Rutgers
Day 2012 - Saturday April 28th. Visitors are welcome to join us for...
Alexander Library Exhibit and Self-Guided Tour
Stop by the Alexander Library on College Avenue and
experience the multimedia book art of Karen Guancione, which combines brilliant pieces of collage,
cloth, and other found objects.
Animal Tales
Listen to fun, furry, feathered, and scaled animal tales read by members of the
Rutgers University Libraries community. All ages welcome! At the Libraries' table in the Voorhees
Mall area, from 11am - 3pm.
Make Your (Book)Mark
Join us to create your own bookmark to celebrate books, libraries, and
anything else worth celebrating. We supply the materials, you supply the imagination. At the
Libraries' table in the Voorhees Mall area.
Origami Menagerie
Jumping frogs, peaceful cranes, fire-breathing dragons...come learn origami, the
ancient Japanese art of paper folding. For all ages and skill levels. At the Libraries' table in the
Voorhees Mall area.
Rutgers University Libraries' table
Visit our information kiosk and enjoy an array of fun
activities! Our knowledgeable library staff is here to answer your questions and describe the
resources and services the library offers to Rutgers, alumni, and the New Jersey community. Spin the
prize wheel and win a Libraries' memento to take home.
