Change in Remote Access

If you have used remote access to the Libraries' website for more than six months, you should be aware of an important change in the procedures for gaining remote access via your internet service provider.

Previously, instructions for remote access advised users to type in the following URL for 'automatic proxy configuration,' in a box labeled "Configuration location (URL): http://www.libraries.rutgers.edu:8080/pac/rulib.pac

This URL has changed.

The new URL is: http://www.libraries.rutgers.edu/pac/rulib.pac

The instructions on the Libraries' website for remote access have already been corrected to reflect this change. If you set your browser to the old proxy server's URL months ago, please change it to this new

URL now so you can continue to enjoy remote access to the Libraries' website.
