Part of Dana Library Closed: Dec. 26 - Jan 16, 2001

Beginning on Tuesday, December 26th, contractors will be removing the concrete slab over the second floor ceiling of the Dana Library North Wing. This work is expected to be completed prior to the resumption of classes on January 16th.

During this period, there will be no public or staff access to the second floor circulating collections with call number ranges A thru KF3540 .D

This includes books in the following subject areas: business, psychology, philosophy, religion, history, geography, sociology, social work, anthropology, African-American studies and womens studies.

Rutgers-Newark students and faculty who need books that fall within these call numbers should use the Rutgers Request Service (RRS) on IRIS to request titles from other Rutgers libraries.

Dana staff will not be able to process Rutgers Request Service or reserve requests from other Rutgers libraries for items in these ranges until the demolition project is complete.

Circulating collections with call number ranges "KF3540 .E" thru "Z" WILL BE ACCESSIBLE AND RETRIEVABLE DURING THIS PERIOD. Access will be via the stairwell in the South Wing only; the public elevator will not stop on the second floor during this period.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this presents to our users.
