Learn about Leftists W/New Resource

The Rutgers University Libraries are pleased to offer a new resource to users who want to get radical.

The Left Index is a quarterly index to the contents of periodicals of the left. Journals selected for inclusion in the index have a Marxist, radical or left perspective and contain lengthy, critical, analytical material. Newsletters and newspapers are not included. The various topics include anthropology, art, literature, economics, history, education, sociology, political science, philosophy, psychology, science, Black Studies, Women's Studies. Coverage of new and noteworthy journals is continuously being expanded. (see also "About the Left Index" at http://www.nisc.com/factsheets/qli.asp.)

Users can access the Left Index from the frontpage of the Libraries webpage from IRIS or by following the path Indexes/Social Sciences & Law/General Social Science.
