Good Resource Gets Better: AccessUN files now go to 1966

Previously providing files dating back only two years, the AccessUN database has been changed to now go back through 1966, adding significant value to this Libraries resource.

The AccessUN database provides citations and some full-text (or links to full-text documents residing elsewhere) for United Nations documents from 1966 to present. Indexing for earlier years is also available through Alexander Library in CD-ROM or print indexes. Documents from the six main bodies of the United Nations -- General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, Trusteeship Council, Secretariat and International Court of Justice -- are indexed. Masthead documents (formerly referred to as mimeographed documents) including limited and restricted documents, Official Records, sales publications, plus documents emanating from sessional and standing committees, functional commissions, conferences and regional bodies can be searched in AccessUN.

AccessUN will benefit researchers who need information on international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian nature. Peace and security, world hunger, human rights, economic development, the environment, and atomic energy are among the issues addressed by the United Nations.
