New Libraries Database: Books In Print with Reviews

The Libraries newest acquisition can make even a novice Libraries user feel like a seasoned bookstore employee.

Books in Print with Reviews contains more than 3.4 million records of books published in United States. It includes a database of over 165,000 U.S. publishers, distributors, wholesalers and book agents. Full-text reviews from well-known national journals are also included. Users can access the separate publishers' directory from the "Publisher" button on the home page.

Reviews included (as of 3/2001) are from: Booklist, Boston Book Review, CHOICE, Horn Book, Kirkus, Library Journal, Quill & Quire, Publishers Weekly, Reference and Research Book News, School Library Journal, Sci-Tech Book News, and University Press Book News.

Books in Printwith Reviews can be accessed from the front page of the Rutgers University Libraries website, either through IRIS or by following the path Indexes & Databases / General & Multidisciplinary / Reference Tools, or from the alphabetical list of databases.
