Libraries Acquire Academic Search Premier (Replaces ProQuest Research Library)

The Libraries recent acquistion, Academic Search Premier, offers access to thousands of important scholarly journals. Academic Search Premiere is a multi-discipline, full text database designed specifically for academic institutions. With a valuable and large collection of peer-reviewed full text journals, Academic Search Premier offers critical information from many sources.

Academic Search Premier replaces the ProQuest Research Library package of 3000 publications on the Libraries website. Academic Search Premier offers expanded coverage for nearly all academic areas of study - including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies.

Academic Search Premier provides full text for nearly 3,200 scholarly publications. It also offers abstracts and indexing for over 4,170 scholarly journals with some dating back to 1984 and some public-domain sources such as Congressional testimony. The package also features indexing for several major U.S. newspapers. (Not full text.)

Academic Search Premier can be accessed from the frontpage of the Libraries website, either through IRIS or from the alphabetical list on the Indexes & Databases page, or by subject under:
