On November 1, 2001, Rutgers University Libraries will start to send e-mail pickup notices to users whenever interlibrary loan and Rutgers books arrive at their pickup libraries. These e-mail notifications are in addition to the available message that is currently posted to all users’ Self Services Hold files in IRIS (“This item is now available at your pickup library”). E-mail pickup notices will only be sent to users who have a Rutgers library pickup location and an e-mail address on file with the Libraries.
E-mail requests notification will be implemented later in the semester. Users will then be notified by e-mail as well as in their IRIS Self Services files whenever an interlibrary loan or Rutgers article is shipped to their pickup location, and whenever any type of interlibrary loan or Rutgers request is canceled.
