IRIS To Go Down: Saturday March 16th

In an ongoing effort to enhance database reliability and integrity, the Rutgers University Libraries will conduct a database conversion that will require approximately 12 hours of downtime to complete. The Libraries' systems department is planning to run the conversion during the first Saturday of Spring Break.

Systems will take IRIS down at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16 and expects the conversion to be completed by about 6:30 p.m. The conversion will be followed by our regularly scheduled weekly full system backup. IRIS should be back up by approximately 9:00 p.m. on March 16.

Once completed, this conversion will allow the Libraries to take advantage of future upgrades and enhancements and will also solve some existing problems with select catalog records in IRIS.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes to our users.
