Libraries Offer Alert Services for Journal Articles

With the Libraries newly expanded 'Alert Services' options, Rutgers scholars and researchers can arrange to receive alerts automatically, via email, if articles relevant to their area of interest are published anywhere in thousands of scholarly journals.

The alert services cover journals in a broad range of disciplines and are available at no cost. Three different types of alert services are offered:

Table of contents alerts
- Users receive email updates of the table of contents of the most current issues of the journals the specify while signing up.
Daily/weekly email alerts
- Subscribers are noticed of articles matching submitted topics. Alert frequencies vary depending on the publisher's database updates
Saved search alerts
- Users receive email notifications of recent articles matching previously submitted searches.

For more information on the alert services available, and to subscribe, please see the Libraries 'Alert Services' webpage at this URL: http://www.libraries.rutgers.edu/rul/indexes/alert_services.shtml
