In this workshop, Rutgers University Libraries Health Sciences Librarian Jackie Mardikian will assist users in identifying authoritative health-related websites, locating and evaluating reports on current medical research, and using the resources of the Web to understand medical terminology and trends in treatment.

Participants in this workshop will also receive a guided tour of the wealth of medical and pharmaceutical information available on the Rutgers University Libraries Web pages.

Jackie Mardikian has over twenty-two years experience in health sciences librarianship. Ms. Mardikian is a distinguished member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals, a certification program of the Medical Library Association. She has published several articles in peer reviewed library journals and has presented extensively in professional conferences.

Ms. Mardikian has served on numerous boards of library organizations and as chair of many committees, including the Medical Library Association and the Health Sciences Library Association of New Jersey.
