Searches a few television networks, such as CNN and NBC, starting in late 2007. Click on "Search 2.0" and enter your
search terms. Click on "Multimedia" above search results, then "Video" in order to narrow down your results to videos
only.
Via the Internet
Blinkx
Searches major television networks, as well as YouTube and MySpace. Using speech-to-text technology, Blinkx looks for
your search terms among the words spoken in every video clip.
TruVeo
Searches major television networks, as well as YouTube and MySpace. Includes special features such as a
2008 Election Center which collects clips from television networks, candidates' campaign web sites and
the general Internet.
BBC Motion Gallery
Searches current and archived international broadcasts, including BBC, NHK Japan, CCTV China and ABC
Australia.
News and Public Affairs, Internet Archive
Gathers independent media sources, providing special collections such as the September 11 Television

Features only professionally produced video segments, including sitcom episodes, talk shows and movie
trailers.
EveryZing
Searches major and local television networks, as well as YouTube and MySpace. Like Blinkx, uses speech
recognition to generate searchable text from media files.
Hulu
Searches current television episodes and movies.
ClipBlast
Searches major television networks, as well as YouTube and MySpace.
Museum of Broadcast Communications
Formerly capable of searching and streaming live video archives, this function is temporarily on hold, but streaming video is still available within certain special-themed collections, such as Martin Luther King, Jr. and "The Great Debate," a collection of presidential debates.
Finding Hard Copy Videos/DVDs
You can search our IRIS catalog for DVDs and videos by going into Advanced Search and selecting "Visual Materials" under
the Format options.
