Computer Science Computer science materials are mainly located at the Mathematical Sciences Library and the Library of Science and Medicine. Various items can also be found at Dana Library and Paul Robeson Library. To locate books, journals and other resources in computer science within the Rutgers University Libraries, use IRIS, our online catalog. Use Indexes for Computer Science to find articles from selected journals and books. This page will lead to selected resource and research guides available on the Internet.
Indexes and AbstractsRutgers University Libraries databases are available on Libraries home page (http://www.libraries.rutgers.edu) under Indexes and Databases and can be accessed from on-campus computers. Rutgers current faculty, staff and students can access the databases off-campus via Remote Access.
Full-text ResourcesImportant online full-text resources include ACM Digital Library and IEEE Xplore (see above). Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) (1997-present) is also available on the web via SpringerLink. (http://link.springer.de/link/service/series/0558/tocs.htm) E-books: Some popular computer science books published by companies such as MIT Press, McGraw-Hill, O'Reilly, Sams Publishing and John Wiley are available via NetLibrary and MyiLibrary in e-books format. E-books are electronic replica of print monographs. Pages or chapters from e-books are available for printing. To access NetLibrary, either search the title in IRIS, or go to IRIS and type the word "netlibrary". You will get a list of titles in the NetLibrary collection. Titles from MyiLibrary will be available in IRIS in the near future. E-journals: Rutgers University Libraries carries an extensive collection of journals in Computer Science. Most computer science journals are located at the Mathematical Sciences Library. A few of them are kept at LSM. Many journals are available online and can be accessed through IRIS, our online catalog (http://www.iris.rutgers.edu).
